Ocean-bound plastic refers to waste that's destined to enter the ocean within the next year if not intercepted. By removing ocean-bound plastic, we prevent it from becoming microplastics that harm marine ecosystems and enter the food chain.
How does removing ocean-bound plastic work?
We partner with organizations that collect plastic from coastal regions before it reaches the ocean. This plastic is then sorted, cleaned, and either recycled into new products or processed responsibly. Our partners work directly with local communities, creating jobs while protecting marine environments.
